Development of surface water quality in selected rural areas of the Elbe River basin
Mrkva, Luboš ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Pechar, Libor (referee) ; Kodeš, Vít (referee)
Development of surface water quality in selected rural areas of the Elbe River basin Water quality is an enduring issue in water management and has global importance. This work deals with surface water quality in the Elbe River basin, focusing on river basins in agricultural and rural areas where surface water quality remains a significant ecological problem. As part of this work, two watersheds with a significant representation of agriculturally used areas were chosen: the Mastník River catchment, which flows into the Vltava River, and the Šlapanka River catchment, which flows into the Sázava River. In the case of the Mastník stream, the work deals with the basin itself and changes in water quality in the Mastník bay, which is part of the Slapy reservoir located on the Vltava River. Water quality was analysed using the concentration of selected parameters through long-term field research supplemented with data from the State Enterprise of the Vltava River basin. In this part, it was proved that constructing new wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) gradually improves the overall water quality. However, the parameter chlorophyll-α and the lack of dissolved oxygen remain problematic. The finding of high concentrations of chlorophyll in the stream is followed by an assessment of the changes in water quality in...
Water quality analysis in the Mastník catchment area
Mrkva, Luboš ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Chalupová, Dagmar (referee)
The quality of surface water in the Czech Republic has changed distinctly in two last decades. The pollution of important rivers has been reduced radically. Small rivers in agricultural areas, however, remain problematic. There is a long-term absence of information about such rivers concerning the purity of water. Mastník, which flows through the agricultural area of Central Bohemian Uplands and as a right-hand side tributary flow into the Vltava River, is one of those rivers. Quality circumstances in catchment area were analysed on the basis of data about the concentration of selected indicators, which come from three monitored profiles of the State public enterprise Povodí Vltavy. The present state of surface water quality was specified by means of ČSN 75 7221. Further, the development of quality was observed since 1995 and the reliance of the concentration on the flow or the season of the year was rated. All the data, which were acquired about anthropogenic and natural pollution of the river, are very important for precautions, which lead towards the improvement of quality of water in rivers. It was discovered that the precautions, which are made in catchment area lead to the improvement of the quality of water in Mastník. If the present state should be retained, the remediation of waste water must be...

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of air pollution on the territory of the Czech Republic in the years 2000 - 2015. The basis of this work are already identified secondary data, with the use of which is analyzed the development of air pollution in individual regions of the Czech Republic. The description of the development of the pollutant emission balance is based on the official data of the Air Pollution Register. Specific pollutants and their amounts are presented in time, which contribute to air pollution in the designated area. For the practical part is based on a literature review, which introduces the basic concepts and types of pollution, introduction of the main pollutants and basic strategic documents on emission issues. The practical part is focused on the basic characteristics of individual regions and the biggest air polluters. The main sources of pollution in the most affected areas are described, the level of pollution and tools for possible improvement of the situation. The development of air pollution by the basic pollutants (SO2, VOC, PM10, NOx, CO, NH3) is described in the period 2000 - 2015. The Moravian-Silesian Region, then the Ústecký Region reaches the highest level of emissions produced in the Czech Republic. The lowest pollution is in the Liberecký, Jihočeský and Zlínský regions.
Znečištění Dunaje, dopady na Černé moře
Hudcová, Aneta
The bachelor thesis deals with the state of the Danube River in terms of water pollution. The Danube is the second longest river in Europe and flows through ten states. Its major tributaries rise in several other countries. Each state pollutes the Danube and its basin with different sources and in different intensity. This is due to many factors but one of the most significant is economic development. The influence of anthropogenic activity on the river is highly reflected in the quality of the aquatic environment which also has a negative impact on the Black Sea. The high nitrogen and phosphorus content causes eutrophication which disrupts the entire Danube water ecosystem. Subsequently, the Black Sea ecosystem is also disturbed which is also facing this issue. The main aim of this thesis was to analyze the issue on the basis of literature in the first part and the second part focuses on the pollution of the river Danube in different ranges of years. It also sets out states that have the greatest share of this pollution. After comparing values that were evaluated from water abstraction from all the states, the state of the Danube is presented in percentage at the end. The pollution status of the Danube has improved in most cases. High pollution is mainly caused by the lower and middle Danube states.
Development of air pollution in the selected area
BARTŮŠEK, Ondřej
This thesis presents a comparison of the development of the concentrations of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide in the air in the Usti region. The work described generally air pollution and related terms such as the sources of pollution emission, immission and atmospheric deposition. The study also evaluated pollution nitrogen oxides and sutur dioxide in the Usti region. This work describes the methods that were used in the calculations and evaluations. It also deals with the selecting appropriate measuring stations to handle the development of the concentrations of these substances in the air. The aim of this work is to find trends in time series of concentrations of NOx and SO2 and statistical evaluation of development levels in selected cities Ústí Region. The next section is evaluated spatial analysis of the concentration of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide in the air in the Ústí Region. This area was chosen primarily because it is characterized by significant air pollution.

Analysis of environment in CR regions
Serafínová, Petra ; Svatošová, Libuše (advisor) ; Jaroslav, Jaroslav (referee)
The environment is an important part of human life, which greatly affects the quality of human health and the entire population. On the quality of the environment is given ever greater emphasis, since there is an increase in the negative anthropogenic effects. To avoid these impacts or reduce their consequences should protect the environment. The important part is sustainable development in order to keep a full-fledged environment to future generations. In this thesis I analyze the main pollution by pollutants in the years 2000-2013 from all stationary sources in the district of Karvina, and from mobile sources of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Based on the statistical data of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, I processed an analysis of time series methods, has chosen trendy model with a forecast of future progression. For the years 2014 - 2016, I calculated the prediction of emitted pollutants.
